Thursday, October 9, 2025

Kevin Stocker (Phillies broadcaster & former MLB shortstop) takes time to give his thoughts on last night's Phillies playoff win, this year's squad, and his playing career (including his rookie season starting for the 1993 Phillies World Series team). Stocker also shares about his broadcast work, family, and faith in the Lord.

Zachary Mettler also joins the show to discuss his work with "The Daily Citizen" which features articles on culture, religious freedom, sexuality and life from a Christian perspective. Aaron Nola (Philadelphia Phillies) & Jake Tapper (CNN)

Friday, October 3, 2025

Jake Tapper (CNN Anchor & chief Washington correspondent) joins the Tim DeMoss Show today via Zoom regarding his new book Race Against Terror: Chasing an Al Qaeda Killer at the Dawn of the Forever War. The book tells the story of a man fleeing the Arab Spring on a refugee boat who surrenders himself to Italian authorities. He claims that, as a terrorist, he is responsible for the deaths of American soldiers. This unexpected surrender sets off an unlikely chain of events and one of the most significant, but little-known, cases in American history.

Tapper, a Philadelphia native, also makes no secret of his Phillies and Eagles fandom and shares a story about an autographed Larry Bowa cap gifted to him via a character from the sitcom "Happy Days"... :)

Aaron Nola (longtime Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher) also graciously spends time with us with a look at his baseball career (from Little League until now), as well as his family, faith in the Lord, and charity work (including Team Red, White & Blue which focuses on veterans' health & wellness and the ALS Association (Nola's uncle passed away from ALS several years ago)).

A week ago, Nola closed out a challenging regular season with an 8-inning, 9-strikeout gem, allowing just 2 hits and 1 run in a 3-1 win over Minnesota and moved into 2nd place on the Phillies' pitchers all-time strikeouts list (behind only Phillies legend Steve Carlton).

Our proverbial "cherry on the sundae"-- Now THAT'S Punny--caps off the show.

GFA World Home Stretch!

Tuesday, September 30, 2025

Today's show focuses on the home stretch of our September partnership with GFA World to help fund national missionaries throughout Africa & Asia.

National missionaries are already physically in the countries they seek to serve (making it very cost-effective to send them) and typically know the language and customs, facilitating a quicker and more direct path in sharing the gospel. With deep reliance on the Lord and through fervent prayer, these dedicated servants plant churches and transform communities from the inside out, fulfilling the Great Commission by bringing hope to those in greatest need.

Our station family goal is to sponsor 20 national missionaries; entering today, we're about halfway there, which we're very grateful for! A $540 one-time gift (or $45/month for a year) can cover the costs of one of the 10 missionaries remaining. Your prayers are appreciated as we close things out, and to help on any level (1 missionary, towards a missionary, or multiple missionaries) it's 866-659-7361 or by clicking here (where you can also see some of the national missionaries we're aiming to sponsor).

Thank you so much from GFA World & WFIL!
